What it checks
- FramingWhether your head and shoulders sit well in the frame, not too close or too far.
- LightingIf your face is bright enough and lit evenly, so you are easy to see.
- Eye contactHow often you look toward the camera versus away from it.
- PostureWhether you are sitting upright and level, or drifting into a slouch.
- Mic levelIf your voice is coming through at a clear, comfortable volume.
- Pace and fillersYour speaking speed and how often small filler words slip in.
Everything runs in your browser. Your camera and microphone are read on the spot to draw the live readings. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is recorded, and there is no account. Close the tab and it is gone.
Common questions
Is my camera footage uploaded anywhere?
No. The whole check runs inside your browser on your own device. Your camera and microphone feed is read on the spot to draw the live readings, and none of it is recorded, saved, or sent to a server. Close the tab and it is gone.
What should I check before an interview?
Start with framing and lighting. Put your eyes about a third of the way down the screen, keep your face centered, and sit so the light comes from in front of you rather than behind. Then glance at eye contact and posture, and say a few sentences to check that your mic sounds clear and your pace feels steady. A minute here saves you from finding out mid-call.
Does this camera test work on my phone?
It works best on a laptop or desktop in a recent version of Chrome or Edge, since that is where you usually take real calls. It will open on many phones too, though a few readings that rely on speech may not be available depending on the browser. Wherever it runs, everything stays on your device.
Do I need to download anything or make an account?
No download and no account. Open the page, allow your camera when the browser asks, and the check starts. It is free to use as often as you like.
